RAPID CITY, S.D. — After five years of staring across the street at each other’s practices, two doctors have merged under the Rapid City Medical Center network.
Doctors Rob Schleiffarth and Troy Howard are merging their ear, nose and throat practices in a new state of the art facility at 241 Minnesota Street.
Construction of the building started about two years ago, when Dr. Schleiffarth decided to grow his ENT practice. With the larger facility on the way, he says the timing felt right for the two practices to merge and expand the services they can offer.

“There’s a lot of new service lines, so we’re able to provide audiology, speech therapy, allergy testing, allergy shots as well as the basic ENT care. So we’re able to provide the whole gambit of ENT care all under one roof,” Dr. Schleiffarth said.
Dr. Troy Howard
“Dr. Schleiffarth has been working really hard building a similar type of dream as me is what I have perceived and we’ve always…you know…really saw a lot similarities in the way we practice and the skill sets that we have,” said Dr. Howard.
All providers at the new West River Ear, Nose and Throat building at the Rapid City Medical Center are accepting new patients.
