Retire

Where are you planning on retiring? What factors are going to be most important to you?

Niche is a website that was built to help students and families find the best college that fits them. In the years since it was introduced, the site has grown to share information on K-12 schools, communities and even the best places to buy a house.

Niche.com utilizes a diverse array of data sources to compile comprehensive information on various aspects of places to live across the United States. This includes primary sources including the American Community Survey (ACS) from US Census Bureau, Uniformed Crime Report from Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), National Climatic Data Center (NCDC) from National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Topologically Integrated Geographic Encoding and Referencing (TIGER) from US Census Bureau, and County Business and ZIP Code Business Patterns from US Census Bureau. Other sources include the Food Environment Atlas from US Department of Agriculture, Volunteering and Civic Life in America from Corporation for National & Community Service, Exempt Organizations Business Master File from IRS, Urban Neighborhood Boundaries and Statistics, Factile, OpenStreetMap, and Niche's Local Survey.

In this list, we took those rankings from Niche and shared them here.
